Early in May, construction works have re-started their activities in Luxembourg. In the meantime, cegecom has resumed 100% of its civil works activities.
Organizations are also gradually reopening their sites and premises, while some of their staff is returning to their offices.
cegecom now fully serves carrier’s end customers which are operational again. Hence, our quote to order process and project management is now business as usual.
We are also resuming physical attendance in our office. However, as Luxembourg’s authorities have not yet lifted the safety measures, cegecom will continue to apply the safety requirements thoroughly.
“At the moment, we work in shifts until total deconfinement: Every week, a half of each team will work at the office and the other half from home”, Emin Allagui, Wholesale Account Manager, explains.
No major outage: In the very early stage of the national confinement, cegecom took preventive measures and optimized its planned network maintenance. “By reducing our interventions on the network to an absolute minimum, we could therefore prevent faults during the critical peaks of the Covid period, and ensure the stability of our network and associated services” Emin Allagui continues.
Furthermore, from the very beginning of the sanitary crisis, cegecom has been working in close collaboration with the Luxembourg State, in order to ensure business continuity at national level.
As a telecommunications operator in Luxembourg and in the Greater Region, our group is recognized as an essential service and critical infrastructure provider. We will continue to co-operate with the country’s authorities until further notice.
