As your business evolves and new opportunities emerge, applications like ERP, CRM, web services must be available for all your employees across all your locations.
With Connect Ethernet, connect multiples sites with dedicated high speed interconnection lines while also providing exceptional protection and continuity for applications across many different locations.
cegecom s.a. (“cegecom”) provides the customer with leased lines as described below, within the existing technical and operational framework.
Provision of this service requires a functional subscriber line (SL; copper) or fibre optic cable (FOC) on the customer’s premises, depending on the type of connection.
cegecom reserves the right, where necessary, to realize the subscriber line/ fibre optic line and services via third parties. Individual features may incur a charge, depending on the product and product variant.
Connect Ethernet provides transparent leased lines. Available variants and maximum bandwidths as well as IEEE 802.3-compliant Ethernet interfaces can be seen in the table below.
Product variant | Bandwidth | Standard Interface | Optional interface |

cegecom manages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week its own network to ensure maximum performance for your business critical applications.
The transmission rate depends on the physical characteristics of the subscriber line/ Fibre optic line. The access line chosen to realize the service will be dimensioned so that the Layer 1 data rate is at least equal to the commissioned data rate.
When the connection is delivered, cegecom provides a Layer 2 test certificate documenting the actual achievable data rate at time of handover. This test certificate is attached to the customer acceptance form.
All access systems deployed by cegecom guarantee a frame size of up to 1596 Byte. Depending on the access technology used, frame sizes of up to 9000 Byte are possible on request.
Gross throughput relates to the data rate (incl. Ethernet Frame, Preamble, Start Frame Delimiter and Inter Frame Gap) transmitted to Layer 1 in a defined transmission period in Mbit/s.
Net throughput relates to the Ethernet data rate (excl. Preamble, Start Frame Delimiter and Inter Frame Gap) transmitted to Layer 2 in a defined transmission period in Mbit/s. The table below shows the maximum throughputs (gross/net) depending on the frame size.
